Things are looking better for Kentucky Lake anglers, as it looks like the cold weather is going to make an exit. The water temperature this past week {3-20-18} has been in the mid 50’s in the Big Sandy river. Big numbers of crappie are being caught in the 14-16 foot of water range. Black/chart jigs and red/chart jigs tipped with minnows have been very productive as of late. Bass fishing has been slow for a lot of anglers. The water will not stabilize long enough for the fish to make a push toward the bank. Things are going to get better in the next couple weeks if mother nature will cooperate with us. Y’all be safeĀ
